As devastating as it is to lose your home, this doesn’t relieve borrowers of their obligation to keep paying their monthly mortgage. When your home burns, you’ll need to live somewhere else. There’s a coverage on your home insurance policy called Loss of Use which covers additional living expenses (ALE). Loss Of Use covers the additional costs while living elsewhere as your home is being rebuilt. During this time, you are still responsible for paying your mortgage (even when you are not living at home).

Two years ago, Dori Einhorn found a good home policy for me after I couldn't find one on my own (fire-prone area). Early this month, that carrier decided not to renew.But Dori did not abandon me! She found me a new traditional policy with an A-rated carrier and at a good price. What astonished me was that this policy was with a company she doesn't have access to, so she directed me to an agent with that company! I'd say that's above and beyond. Within a week, I was insured again.I feel very lucky to have found Einhorn Insurance, and I am very sorry to lose Dori as my agent. We live in a high risk fire area and when our homeowner's insurance coverage was terminated by our insurer (with no claims) we were suddenly scrambling to find a new insurance provider. I reached out to Eric and he was simply wonderful--spending an amazing amount of time and effort to find a new insurance company who would provide us with homeowner's insurance at the most reasonable cost. This was not easy as most other companies were unwilling to cover our home at any cost, yet Eric keep exploring possible options and keeping us informed during the whole process--until he was successful and our home was insured. I live in an extremely high fire risk area and reached out to Einhorn Insurance after being dropped by my insurance company and being unable to find any other. Let me say that more accurately: after being unable to find any local agents who could find any other. Einhorn Insurance came through rapidly and, equally importantly, was able to clearly and compellingly discuss all of the relevant issues with me (this was quite counter to my experience with other agents). Their professionalism and expertise is truly appreciated by this customer; enough so that I have recommended them highly to each of my neighbors as the dreaded cancel letters have inevitably arrived.

Dori with Einhorn Insurance was amazing to work with!! They do provide services outside of Southern California, so don't hesitate to contact them if you are not near San Diego. We are purchasing a home in rural far Northern California, and when it looked like no other insurance company would insure us because of our location, Dori came through with the promise that she could get it insured to meet the bank's requirements for a loan (such a relief!). I received a response within 1-2 hours of submitting an online inquiry, and Dori has never failed to promptly respond to any inquiries. She worked hard to get us all the discounts available. A local office offered us the same exact plan for $700 more per year than what Dori got us. On top of all that, she referred us to a different company that could offer a better price on flood insurance than they could. Her honesty and legitimate compassion for our situation was amazing! Dori was constantly checking in with us on the progress of our loan and for updates. No other entity that we have worked with during the home purchase process has been so great. After getting outbid on several offers, we are finally in escrow on a home in Scripps Ranch. Our escrow company sent us a form asking for our home insurance information. After calling numerous insurance companies (including the company that insures me now) to get a quote, we quickly found out the house is in a high fire area and we need home insurance for a wildfire area. Some of the agents we called never called us back once we gave them the address. A couple of people we talked to flat out refused to offer a homeowners policy because Scripps Ranch is prone to fires. Then, a few agents came back with very high quotes and our lender said we wouldn’t qualify for a loan if our insurance was that high. Our excitement for this house quickly turned into panic as we were struggling to get affordable coverage. Dori at Einhorn Insurance was able to navigate the waters and provide a coverage option that we could afford and more importantly, feel good about! This company was top notch, responsive and super easy to work with. I was in escrow on a house that was close to the wildfire areas. I started to panic when everyone I called turned me down for home insurance. I stumbled on Einhorn Insurance and they were able to find a policy for me super fast. They even called my escrow company and lender and handled everything regarding insurance so I didn't have to.
